Foto Friday: I Anchorage You to Go to Alaska

Get it "Anchorage"/"Encourage"...?

I love a good pun and my recent vacation to Alaska has just pushed me over the edge... just check out my instagram account for further proof.

Anyway, I will be using the next few weeks of Foto Fridays to share my pictures from the most Amazing Alaskan Adventure Ever!

We'll start with Anchorage, since that's where we spent Day 1 and Day 4 of our journey.

The Ride from the Airport (because of course I started taking pictures on the airplane ride itself):

The nation's largest seaplane lake is in Anchorage, Alaska and so many people have their pilots license. In a state this large, it's how you get around!

We're not in DC Anymore (this was LEGIT a sign outside our Anchorage Hotel):

Anchorage has the most amazing flower beds and hanging flower baskets thanks to extended sun periods in the summer, and you know I can't pass up the opportunity to photograph flowers:

We then journeyed to Denali National Park and returned through Anchorage before heading to our cruise ship in Whittier.

Day 4 Touring the City: I ate Reindeer Tacos at the coolest hipster-halibut-steam-punk-moose-themed-converted-train-car-restaurant in the country (I'm assuming it's the only one)

Balto Statue! (with Rah, Mom & Tony)

Twinsies!

More Flowers!

No idea what these are called but I WANT!

Blue Moose Totem!

Stay tuned for the next batch from the adventures in the Alaskan interior: Denali National Park
