Blog Every Day in May: Days Four, Five, & Six

So it didn't take long for me to fail at getting the posts out the day there were due but this weekend I had a best friend's birthday celebration and the 2 hours I had blocked off for blogging turned into 2 hours of helping my parents mow the lawn and split and stack logs, unexpected maintenance/yardwork/housework a constant threat when living with the parents.
I'm going to try to catch up today on the past three prompts, but I can't promise they'll be high-quality:
Day 4, Saturday: Favorite quote (from a person, from a book, etc) and why you love it
Philippians 3:21
"He will transform the body of our humiliation that it may be conformed to the body of his glory by the power  that also enables him to make all things subject to himself."

I think this passage is a wonderful promise and a reminder that this world is not the end, to live life as if it is for forever and pursue loving others the way Christ loved us because of what a magnificent reward awaits us. In fact, I have 3:21 incorporated into my tattoo (which is also a nod to the fact that this body, while a temple for God, is still a humble body that can fail, and not the body I will have forever).

Day 5, Sunday: Publicly profess your love and devotion for one of your blogger friends. What makes them great? Why do you love them? If you don't have blogger friends, talk about a real-life friend or even a family member

Oh my. Public professions of love have never been my strong point. And especially because this is late and I've seen what other people have written and I feel like the good adjectives have been used already. I'm going to attempt to write about two very important people in my life, my two older sisters.

My two older sisters have always been there for me. They are my inspirations, they are my spirit animals, they are the outer expressions of my own personality, the antique, slightly warped mirrors of myself. They have always defined cool in my eyes. They are the framework that holds up my outlook on life. They are my filter through which I see the parts of the world that I am blind to at first glance. They are my censors, and sometimes I am thankful and sometimes I am resentful. They are there for me. They are the first to build me up. They are examples of how to give your heart to a task and give your heart to someone. They teach me. They teach me how to dougie. They teach me how to grow. They teach me how to let go and move on. They teach me how to hold onto something special. They are shining examples of passion, caring, and ferocity when it comes to protecting the things they love.

Day 6, Monday: If you couldn't answer with your job, how would you answer the question, 'what do you do'?
I smile; I try and often fail to follow Jesus' example of selfless sacrifice and obedience; I escape through stories; I study a situation and try to adapt; I overthink; I try to be as goofy as possible to weed out the people who judge me; I make mistakes; I protect the people that are important to me; I play soccer; I climb; I crochet; I jump in puddles; I run; I avoid conflict; I volunteer; I persevere; I play kickball; I blog; I vlog; I take myself too seriously; I try to entertain those around me; I ramble; I hold things inside that I should say; I draw; I sing-talk; I dance in the drivers seat at stoplights; I struggle; I pray; I desperately want to heal a broken world; I love my family; I strive to be better; Yo hablo espanol; I play guitar; I sometimes let insecurity stop me from acting; I laugh; I live.
